Tenwek Here We Come!

We've been planning our return trip to Tenwek Hospital now for the last 9 months and we leave in 4 days on November 4th! 

We've been meeting monthly via early morning conference calls to include all our team members from San Diego to Rhode Island. We've made all of our plans, gathered our equipment and packed all of our bags. Our cardiac surgery trip this year will be for 2 weeks instead of just one to optimize the number of patients we can diagnose and treat surgically once we arrive at Tenwek. 
The first week will be the "adult" week and the second week will focus specifically on children. The photo on the left is from our first day at Tenwek last year (May, 2010) where 150 patients came to see our team in hopes of being operated on.

Please pray for our team as we prepare the last few days before departure that we will have the strength and wisdom to perform to the best of our abilities so we can provide the optimum care to our future patients at Tenwek hospital over the next several weeks.
